Dr. Chad D. Kollas is the Medical Director of Supportive and Palliative Care at Orlando Health Institute in Orlando, Florida. He is board certified in hospice & palliative medicine and internal medicine. Dr. Chad Kollas has experience in bioethics and legal medicine. Dr. Kollas earned his medical degree and completed his residency training at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania, after obtaining a bachelor’s degree from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Kollas previously served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and he serves as the Academy’s Delegate to the American Medical Association for a decade. He also serves as the Chair of the AMA Pain & Palliative Medicine Specialty Section and is a member of the AMA Substance Use & Pain Care Task Force. He received AAHPM’s 2014 Gerald H. Holman Distinguished Service Award and the AAHPM 2006 Paper Award for an analysis of the legal reasoning applied in the Terri Schiavo case.
